- Monitoring entrants during the job and during entry/exit to ensure safety
- Monitoring atmospheric conditions in the space prior to and during entry.

- Summoning emergency assistance as needed

- Keeping records of confined space work, such as air test results, personnel entry/exit, etc.

Lifting Supervisor
CRANE · RIGGING · GROUND ASSESSMENT
- Lifting Plan Verification: Review and execute strictly according to approved Lifting Plan
- ⚙️Team Briefings: Conduct toolbox briefings for crane operators, riggers, signalmen (procedures, risk controls, emergency protocols)
- ⚙️Personnel Checks: Ensure all riggers, signalmen, crane operators possess valid certifications and registrations
- ⚙️Equipment Inspection: Verify lifting machine certificates; check riggings, slings, hooks are defect-free and suitable for load
- ⚙️Site & Ground Assessment: Ensure surrounding area safe, ground conditions (especially mobile cranes) stable and well-prepared
- ⚙️Continuous Presence: Supervise and coordinate lifting operation on-site from start to finish
- ⚙️Weight Verification: Ensure load weight accurately determined and communicated to crane operator
- ⚙️Safe Rigging: Verify rigging stable, balanced, secure; loose materials stored in receptacles, padding used at sharp edges

Environmental & Public Health Mastery
- Pollution Control — Active monitoring of air quality (dust abatement), noise levels, water pollution with earth control measures to prevent runoff and contamination.
- Waste Management — Legal & proper disposal of construction debris, marine clay, hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with NEA regulations and circular economy principles.
- Vector Management — Systematic inspection for mosquito breeding (dengue prevention), flies, cockroaches, rats. Enforce preventive measures, larviciding, and habitat removal.
- Hygiene Inspections — Regular checks of on-site worker canteens, sanitary facilities (portable toilets, septic tanks), potable water, and general camp hygiene to maintain high public health standards.
- Site Inspections & Reporting — Daily/weekly walkthroughs to identify irregularities, resolve issues early, and submit Site Environmental Control Reports to Occupier/Premises Manager.
- Worker Education — Organize briefings, toolkits & engagement activities promoting environmental health, vector control awareness, and maintaining high workplace hygiene.
- The National Environment Agency (NEA) — alignment with regulatory codes: Ensure compliance under Environmental Public Health Act, submission of control plans, and vector surveillance protocols.
WSH Officer (WSHO) — Strategic Governance
Safety & Health Policies
Establish safety policies, hazard control frameworks, emergency response plans, and PPE standards — fully documented and enforced.
Risk Assessments
Identify workplace hazards, evaluate risk levels, implement controls (elimination, substitution, engineering, admin, PPE).
Safety Audits & Inspections
Systematic workplace audits, legal compliance checks, performance tracking & continuous improvement plans.
Safety Training
Competency building: hazard identification, safe behaviours, emergency preparedness, and specialized WSH training modules.
Accident Investigation
Detailed root cause analysis, reporting to authorities, recommending preventive measures, closure of findings, and sharing lessons across organisation.

Monthly Fire Inspections

Basic fire safety for all occupants, annual fire drills, in-house fire defense team training & evacuation simulations.
Annual Fire Certification
Obtain fire safety certificate for building; liaison with MOM, SCDF, NEA, insurers on regulatory & certification affairs.
FSSD Liaison & Yearly Report
Communicate with Fire Safety Standards Division on all premises issues, prepare annual report for FSSD on behalf of building owners/managers.
Awareness Campaigns
Promote fire safety campaigns for building tenants, occupants, and stakeholders. Engage with creative fire prevention initiatives.
